MALA BEAD NECKLACE

In Sanskrit, mala means "garland." A complete mala consists of 108 individual beads, each of which is used to count mantras, prayers – even breaths – and to help keep the mind focused and clear during meditation. But you don't have to be a meditation master to adorn yourself with one: if all you need is to be reminded of your own determined breath and the unyielding rise and fall of your chest, then that's reason enough.

These malas are crafted of beads made from hand-carved yak bone in Nepal.
