SILVER & BONE BEAD KEYHOOK

Our keyhooks are created in the style used by Japanese fisherman to help prevent loosing their keys while out on the water. Made of nickel-plated solid brass, the belt hook and key ring are substantially built: if you lose your keys with this rugged piece of hardware, it's likely you lost your pants along with them (which, by the way, is a story we definitely want to hear).

We have adorned this essential piece of hardware with a single bead of recycled animal bone handcrafted in Africa. After the marrow has been consumed, the hollowed bones are filled with wooden plugs, then dried and cut to shape. They are then decorated with a scrimshaw style technique. We attach each bead ourselves with a single length of natural leather cording that will darken and patina with age...and adventure.
