Dorcus titanus is a stag beetle of the family Lucanidae, inhabiting tropical and temperate forests throughout Southeast Asia. As menacing as the antler-like jaws of the male beetle may make the beetle appear, it actually feeds on juice from Quercus sp. trees.
This highly detailed, hand-painted replica is made from clay and wire. Because of this, expect some variation between specimens. Glass cloche can be removed.
